EDUCATION (THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT FOR OUR CHILDREN)

In terms of the sheer number of schools under its wings, STSS is the largest non-profit Tibetan society in exile India providing holistic education to destitute exiled Tibetan children along with providing a safe and conducive atmosphere for their overall growth. Currently managing and overseeing more than 28 main schools and 40 Pre-primary schools besides providing free basic education to more than 4186 students as of Dec’21. Our schools are dispersed and located in some of the remotest and far-flung areas, catering to the need of not only the schools located in bigger Tibetan settlements but also isolated and far-flung smaller Tibetan settlements such as Miao, Tezu, Tenzingang, Shillong, Gothangaon, Chandragiri, etc.

However, running and sustaining the schools of this scale and magnitude is not a cakewalk and comes with many challenges. Here our generous sponsors step in to provide their support to our cause of providing holistic education to our exiled Tibetan children here in India.Our society needs the goodwill of sponsors in the form of Child Sponsorship. This sponsorship contribution will be used for Children’s maintenance upkeep, education, healthcare, etc. A nominal contribution from a sponsor can completely change a life of our children as it will provide a platform wherein our children can also walk shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the people in this 21st century.

Besides providing modern education, STSS aims and strives to equip our children with wholesome knowledge of our culture, tradition, and language. We believe in changing and adapting ourselves according to the needs and requirements of the times while not diverting from our roots and culture.
